My Siamese loves the mouse toy which is made my the same company but, the bee and butterfly both broke almost immediately. It’s too bad because the idea is a good one.

As other reviewers have noted, this is not the sturdiest toy you can get your cat, but it will fascinate them — particularly if you manipulate it with “butterfly mind”: make it fly delicately, land, gently shake its wings, flutter off. It’s a little like maneuvering a Cat Dancer — only a Cat Dancer seems to fascinate cats when you make it behave most like a fly trying to beat its way through the glass of a window. The Butterflier is more gentle.

Don’t leave your cat alone with the Butterflier, though. Cats chew through the strings of Da Birds. They will pull this butterfly wing from thorax. It’s much less sturdy than a Cat Dancer. I know of one cat who has gone through five of them.

My cat absolutely loves this toy, but as one other reviewer wrote it does not last long before you cat can take the butterfly off the pole. I am ordering my 4th one, I know they don’t last long, but my cat goes crazy over this butterfly, the bee last a lot longer.

The butterfly is attached with glue and my cat had it off within a couple of days. It’s not relplaceable like the other products. Get the ones that you can replace the end after the cat chews it off.
