One of my two 6 month old kittens loves it, the other is indifferent. It slides somewhat on the wood floor and I have to move it back to the 100% vertical position. It might work better on carpet. Right now my cats are under 10 pounds, I am not sure how it will fare when they are heavier. I think it is worth the cost compared to other things I have seen in pet stores.

if your cat doesn’t love hanging out on this multi-tiered kitty perch, then something is wrong with your cat!

i bought this scratching post and was extremely disappointed with it from the moment i took it ut of the box. After assembling it and stading it upright i found out it was extremely flimsy. The post my cat used to have was cardboard tubes but had more stabiltity than this one does. The material on this post is extremly thin and lightweight, and my cat had scratched thru it in a month. i will never buy this post again.

This one replaced the one I had for a year and my cat enjoyed it. This one is poor quality for $20 more than what I paid a year ago. The carpet cannot withstand the clawing and makes an horrible mess and she tears into it with her teeth like it is cardboard. The nap on the carpet is to much like cotton when used for a cat tree. I am trying to find one just like the one I used to have and would be willing to pay what I paid for this piece of garbage but can’t find one.

We have had this scratching post for a year and a half and 2 of our 3 cats use it daily. I will agree that it is not the best quality, but it is a lot cheaper than other available towers. The one cat likes to scratch it and has pretty much ruined one of the vertical pieces, but we just switched it with the top one that never gets used. It is also very unstable. The adjustable plastic spring piece didn’t work for us because we have vaulted ceilings. To solve this we put the tower in a corner and secured it to the walls with wire. Overall we would recommend this product.
