    .. but this is a solid piece of cat-furniture. Scamper has owned this “tower” since Christmas of 2007 and slept on it a handful of times. He avoides the lower “Cave” mostly due to his own personality Im sure, and thats a good thing since it has since broken. Otherwise, well made, and pretty.

    smaller than I thought. I should have listened to the other reviewers who mentioned this. I thought my smallest of 3 cats would be into the bottom part-since she loves dark places, but it’s even small for her-she’s 10 pounds! forget about the other two, who are 15 and 20 pounds. So I use it to store their toys. Usually also liking higher places, the only way I can get her to sit up on the top part is by putting some catnip on it. It’s not too wobbly but it does move a little-maybe she doesn’t like that. But she will lay on the second shelf-after I took the rope off it which seems more suited as a dog chew toy than a cat toy. I have 3 cats- the other 2 are not interested in it, but that is not the manufacturer’s fault. I have finicky cats. Would like something bigger and more complicated for them to play on, but just don’t have the space. If space is an issue and your cats aren’t snobs, then this is fine. it’s cute-love the leopard pattern, the sisel posts are good if your cat uses them. Arrived very quickly, but shipping was expensive too. Would have returned just b/c my cats never took to it but my lovely husband threw out the box.

    I can’t begin to describe how wonderful this scratching post is! The assembly is super easy and my cat was using it before I finished putting it together. There is so much to do, she can’t decide what to play with first. I was worried it would be unstable, but it is! No worries. For the great price, I couldn’t have asked for more. I highly recommend getting this one instead of those crazy ones over $100.

    I removed the dangling rope and house leaving the scratching posts and shelves. I use the top two shelves as plant stands and the bottom is used by my cat to hang out and who uses all sides of the posts to scratch and play.
